Taylored Nanny Services began with the intention to provide experienced, safety conscious, playful, and professional care to children, families, and homes in Sydney and across Australia.  

Maintaining balance within our homes is best practice with the healthiest results geared toward improved quality of living. The aim of Taylored Nanny Services is to take the stress and work out of finding the right person to come in and partner with you and your family in that endeavour, supporting you through the process and continually, as needed, thereafter. 

We love to see happy healthy families, especially when that means you have more free time to be with your loved ones!  

Carissa has worked in nearly every sphere of childcare and education, with experience in the US, Sweden, and Australia. With over 15 years experience working with children in homes, childcare centres, as a teacher in schools, and after school programs, Carissa is well versed in the responsibilities of a nanny, educator, and childcare worker. 

She has since worked in administrative roles, and currently lectures for a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, as well as Master's in Education or (MTeach) in Sydney, after having completed her PhD in Education and conducting extensive research as a social scientist on a number of research topics for her other degrees.  Her research and teaching background have provided extensive training and knowledge that stretches from working with and teaching children with diverse abilities and backgrounds, to academically or physically challenged youths, to a variety of behavioural diagnoses, to advanced and gifted learners, as well as engaging and teaching children who have expereinced trauma. She applies this knowledge as a researcher and teacher/trainer when screening candidates, as well as during the free consultation with families to assess the requirements of the role.

As a mother of three amazing children, she understands the unique and delicate nature of placing little ones in the care of another adult. Trust, honesty, integrity, personality type and the balance of playfulness and responsible maturity are key aspects that play into the right fit, together with personal dynamics within the home and between individuals. As a parent Carissa would want nothing less than this for her own children and home. Therefore, she expects nothing less for your home. 

Her goal is to find the best suited helper for your home and family so that you can focus on the people and things that matter most to you. Maintaining a healthy balance is vital for quality of living and she believes we all deserve this. She will provide detailed evaluations of roles and home environments in order to match families with experienced helpers who are able to genuinely connect and partner together with the families they work for.
